Yonatan Weiss, MD

Yonatan Weiss, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Weiss specializes in treating thoracic, central nervous system and gynecologic cancers with expertise including advanced technologies such as Gamma Knife radiosurgery and interstitial brachytherapy.

Prior to joining Miami Cancer Institute in 2022, he was a clinical instructor in the radiation oncology department at the University of California Los Angeles.

Dr. Weiss also served as chief resident at the Princess Margaret and Odette Cancer Centres, the premier cancer programs in Canada. Before beginning medical training, he worked in cancer research investigating DNA repair in organisms that were resistant to radiation. His research has been presented at national and international scientific conferences.

Dr. Weiss’ approach to patient care is to develop a strong partnership with patients, their families and the entire healthcare team. He believes in frequent, proactive communication for effective treatment plans.

When he is not treating patients, he likes swimming, playing pickleball, going to the beach, and playing the piano and trombone.
