Ghurulakshmi Moorthy, MD

Ghurulakshmi Moorthy, M.D., is an Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism specialist. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Endocrinology sub-specialty Board. She completed her internal medicine residency from the University of Illinois at Urbana, fellowship in endocrinology from the Indiana University School of Medicine and obtained her medical degree from Madurai Medical College in India. She received the Richard Schnute Award for her clinical excellence, compassion and professionalism during her fellowship. She has also received distinctions in pharmacology and surgery for her excellent performance in those areas during medical school. She is an active member of The American Diabetes Association, The Endocrine Society and The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Moorthy is married and has two young boys. Her husband is an Urgent Care physician. She loves to travel and watch movies.
