Melissa Hager, DO

Melissa Hager, DO, specializes in rheumatology and is board certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine. Dr. Hager earned her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She then completed her residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital and her fellowship in rheumatology at St. Louis University.

Dr. Hager sees patients ages 18 and above for a variety of rheumatology conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, inflammatory myopathies, Sjogren's syndrome, psoriatic arthritis, scleroderma, and gout.

Dr. Hager chose to specialize in rheumatology after several family members were diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The patient-physician partnership and establishing long-term care relationships is very important to Dr. Hager, as rheumatology conditions are often chronic or life-long.

Dr. Hager is a native of St. Louis and enjoys any type of sporting event, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. She loves watching live theater at The Fabulous Fox and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.
