Wayne DeVantier, MD

Dr. Wayne DeVantier is a board certified ophthalmologist who provides high quality comprehensive eye care to patients from Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth and other Hampton Roads areas. Dr. DeVantier has a special interest in diabetic eye complications and glaucoma care. After 35 years practicing ophthalmology (32 years in Tidewater) Dr. DeVantier has partially retired and is no longer performing eye surgery. After receiving his medical degree from Georgetown School of Medicine, Dr. DeVantier spent two years as a U.S. Navy Flight Surgeon at Oceana. Once he completed a residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital, he was transferred to the Naval Hospital at Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico, where he served admirably for several years.
