Christopher Sharits - Abstract Artist

Christopher Sharits is a Denver, Colorado based abstract artist who explores the boundaries of acrylic paint on canvas, plexiglass, skis, and snowboards.

He utilizes paint brushes and fingers to blend, splatter, brush, pull, or “smoosh” vibrant paints. His plexiglass paintings are unique in that they are painted foreground to background with the face side down flat leaving the finished painting hidden until everything dries two days later.

“While I am inspired by the greats, Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Monet, and Pollock, I find the colors of deep space and nature vibrant and beautiful.”

He is currently the “Artist in Residence” at Visual Interest in Denver, Colorado’s RiNo Art District. In addition to “RiNo’s First Friday Open House” every month, he exhibits in Fine Art Festivals in and around Colorado throughout the year as well as guest receptions and workshops.
