Manasi S. Hulyalkar, MD, FAAP, MBA, provides care at Springfield Clinic Pediatrics and Springfield Clinic Jacksonville.“I wanted to pick a career that would make me excited to go to work in the morning,” she says. “After doing my medical rotations, I realized my personality was best suited for pediatrics, and it was the best decision I made.”Dr. Hulyalkar earned her medical degree at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Nashik, India. She completed her pediatrics residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield and completed her Master of Business Administration in health care management from Temple University in Philadelphia, Penn. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, she served as a pediatrician for HSHS Medical Group.“My guiding principle in medicine is to treat the patient the way you would want yourself and your kids to be treated,” she says. “So, I always encourage my patients to ask a lot of questions so that they understand their care plan and feel empowered to make good health decisions.” She is board certified in pediatrics and obesity medicine.In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. They love traveling to national parks, hiking and being outdoors.
