I chose to become a nurse practitioner after working as a registered nurse. I felt that I could make more of a difference managing a patient’s care in an advanced practice role. I have a holistic approach to patient care. I believe as a health care provider, I am treating an entire person and not just one portion of their health. I also believe in treating people how I would like to be treated as a patient. My areas of special interest include managing hypertension, diabetes, women's health and promoting overall health and wellness to improve quality of life. Outside of work, I like to exercise, work in my yard, bake, spend time with my family and friends, and relax with my dogs.
