Kevin Mennitt, MD

Dr. Kevin Mennitt is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and an assistant attending radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hudson Valley Hospital. He is a body radiologist with a particular interest in novel MRI applications.
Dr. Mennitt completed his radiology residency and a fellowship in body and musculoskeletal MRI at NYP/CUIMC. He then joined the faculty of NYP/Weill Cornell Medicine, where he served as chief of body MRI and MRI safety officer. He also served as co-director of the NYP Pharmaceutical, Policies, and Procedures Committee, where he developed and revised NYP policies and procedures for radiology pharmaceuticals.
A passionate educator, Dr. Mennitt is a regular lecturer to residents and medical students. He was awarded Teacher of the Year by the Weill Cornell Medical College radiology residents, recognizing his excellence in teaching. 
Dr. Mennitt has presented lectures in the NYC metropolitan area, nationally, and internationally. He has authored or co-authored many peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Mennitt enjoys collaboration with colleagues in other medical specialties. He has been a primary investigator (PI) or co-PI on several research projects with funding.
At NYP/Weill Cornell, Dr. Mennitt helped develop the first emergency radiology division, an initiative that drastically improved patient care. Concurrently, he was also involved in the development of a musculoskeletal radiology division, which has since expanded dramatically. He joined Columbia Radiology at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital in 2022, where he continues to be a part of the hospital’s mission to provide the highest level of patient treatment and care.
