Dr Shiva Shamim is a dentist with over 25 years of experience and a DDS degree in Dental Surgery. In 2005, she completed a postgraduate degree in Community Oral Health and Epidemiology in Sydney.

Her interest in preventative dental treatments motivated her to begin her studies in interceptive orthodontic treatments and eventually complete a 2-year residency in orthodontic treatment with Dr Derek Mahony in Sydney.

She has taken part in several courses to increase her knowledge in the management of temporomandibular jaw disorders, head and neck pain and sleep disorders and has successfully completed a mini residency in sleep apnoea, TMD and neuromotor reflex.

After seeing the impact of simple dental issues on overall health and wellbeing, she has consequently developed a holistic approach to dental treatment.
