Pete Lerza, NP, is a family nurse practitioner in Cambridge, Maryland, who takes a holistic, integrative, and contemporary approach to care for adults of all ages. Pete prefers prevention to intervention, focusing on helping his patients make healthy lifestyle changes to improve their health.

At his primary care practice, Pete manages general health and wellness and medical conditions like diabetes and joint pain. Pete also offers sick visits to care for those unexpected illnesses and injuries.

Pete has a master’s degree in nursing, family nursing practice from The George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, DC. He also has extensive clinical training in primary care, OB/GYN, and pediatrics.

Pete is affiliated with the Delaware Medical Reserve Corp (DMRC), the Delaware Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (DCNP), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Delaware Nurses Association (DNA), and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

He pursued a career in health care so that he could help people live a better life by easing their suffering. Pete began his career as a nurse practitioner in 2019, working in urgent and primary care. Spending those first years working the front lines during the height of COVID-19 reinforced his passion.

When not caring for his patients, Pete enjoys playing ice hockey and spending time with his wife, daughter, and dogs.
