I chose to go into healthcare because when I was seven years old, my sister had to go into the emergency room due to falling and cutting her head. There was so much blood and I was so scared, but once the providers stitched her up, she was happy. By the end, I was laughing with everyone else and got stickers. All I knew then is that I wanted to heal and help people like that. My approach to patient care is to partner with patients to create a strong team-based setting led by evidence-based recommendations that the patient can actually live with. My areas of special interest include women's health, adolescent and pediatric health, diabetes management and acute care procedures. Outside of work, I like spending time with my little ladies in the garden and playing outside. I also enjoy going to food truck rodeos with my husband, reading a good book and trying new recipes on my family.
