Mama & Bee was founded on the belief that every new mother deserves the very best care in a comfortable setting. Those first few weeks are vital for babies and mothers, which is why Mai Vi Hoang, MD, and her team are passionate about serving families in and around Renton, Washington.

Dr. Hoang’s very own birthing experience led her to start the practice she has today. Though she was already a family medicine physician, aspects of her personal care were lacking, which propelled her to offer her patients the best services possible.

It’s no secret that new mothers and babies like to bond at home, where everyone is most comfortable. That’s why Mama & Bee offers a range of services from highly skilled practitioners who travel to patients — not the other way around.

Mama & Bee’s mission is to prevent infant hospitalization for jaundice whenever possible, using infant labs for diagnosing. They offer phototherapy treatment in the patient’s home, which is a treatment using a special light. This approach provides a less stressful situation for the entire family.

They also support breastfeeding mamas with caring lactation services. In-home visits are available, and telemedicine appointments allow patients to connect with Dr. Hoang virtually. 

Mama & Bee is pleased to offer services to patients residing from North Seattle to Lakewood and on the Eastside from Bothell to Puyallup. Most types of insurance are accepted, and there’s a sliding scale for families who need assistance, making treatment affordable.

The team remains in close contact with the patient’s pediatrician, obstetrician, and other providers, ensuring continuity of care. The practice loves getting to know the mothers and babies, but it’s rewarding when patients no longer need Dr. Hoang’s services.
