Having worked in critical care as a registered nurse for more than two decades, becoming an advanced practice provider seemed to be like the logical next step in advancing my career. I wanted to provide a more holistic patient centered care looking at the whole patient within the framework of their family and community. As a primary care provider, the principal focus is on preventive care and early recognition of illness or diseases, education and reducing the risk for complex chronic diseases, disabilities and mortality. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog,. I also love to cook and travel.
