Min Lu, MD, is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese medicine specialist at Five Elements Acupuncture & Wellness, providing holistic health care to people of all ages living in and around Gaithersburg, Maryland, and throughout Montgomery County.

Dr. Lu earned her master’s degree from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine in Vienna, Virginia. There, she received extensive training in functional health care, including traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Lu is learning from Prof Wang Biqin (famous TCM gynaecologist)，and now is the member of Prof. Guo Zhiqiang's National Inheritance Studio focusing on infertility, ovarian dysfunction, polycystic ovary syndrome, menstrual disease, menopausal syndrome, pelvic inflammatory disease, vulva leukoplakia and other gynecological diseases treatment and postnatal care, etc; 

During that same time, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were taking place. Seeing athletes benefit from minimally invasive treatments like acupuncture and massage inspired Dr. Lu to pursue a career helping others. 

By combining her knowledge of eastern medicine with training in basic anatomy and physiology, Dr. Lu helps her patients achieve active, healthy, and pain-free lives.
