I value my patient and their families input and strive to work as a team when creating the plan of care. As a daughter of a Parkinson’s patient, I often tell patients, “I intend to work hard and provide excellent care for you, just as I would for my own Father”. I feel that when patients understand the personal implications Parkinson’s has in my own life, they appreciate my honesty and commitment to their care.
I feel it is important to utilize a team approach to movement disorders, thus ensuring the needs of the patient are met. My dedication to research fulfills my desire to bring about new and innovative treatments to improve the quality of life for my patients.
