Eric A. Bloemer, MD

Dr. Eric Bloemer knew from a young age that he wanted to either go into medicine or become a St. Louis Cardinals baseball player. He enjoyed the sciences throughout his academic career and was quickly drawn to a professional career as a family medicine physician.“Family medicine allows me to interact with people on a one-on-one basis and really get to know them,” says Dr. Bloemer.Dr. Bloemer is excited to partner with Springfield Clinic to continue providing excellent patient care for patients from throughout the Teutopolis area. “The most gratifying piece of my job is taking care of people and seeing them get better,” he says.He earned his medical degree from St. Louis University’s School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. After completing his residency in 2012, Dr. Bloemer joined Runde Clinic.In his free time, Dr. Bloemer enjoys hunting, fishing, engineering and constructing things. In addition, he and his family enjoy taking their annual vacation at a beach.
