Hi I’m Ashley! I would first like to acknowledge the courage and commitment it took for you to get to this point. I am licensed as a professional counselor and chemical dependency counselor in Texas, with over 11 years of experience. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I have worked with clients with a range of concerns including addiction, trauma and abuse, LGBTQ+ issues, dissociation, depression, anxiety, grief, self-injury, personality disorders, and mood disorders.
My style of therapy is client-centered, warm and respectful. I believe every human being should be treated with compassion, sensitivity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe our minds and bodies are capable of healing and growth with the right environment, tools and support. My approach is EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing) based combined with mindfulness, dialectical behavior, somatic, and polyvagal therapy. I also have training in cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy. This is your therapy and experience, so I will tailor your treatment plan to meet your specific, individual needs.
