Mohit Ajmeri, MD

Dr. Mohit Ajmeri is joining the team of family care physicians at Memorial Care in Decatur.

Dr. Ajmeri is a family medicine physician, providing care for individuals of all ages. He has a special interest in preventive care and weight loss. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and earned his medical degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy, St. Maarten. He went on to complete his residency training in family medicine locally at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield..

As a first-generation physician, Dr. Ajmeri found medicine to be his medium for helping others. His vision for patient care is to empower patients through joint decision making and education while building lasting relationships with his patients.

Dr. Ajmeri is fluent in three languages. He primarily practices in English but can accommodate patients who speak Gujarati and Hindi.
