Laboratory services


Walk-in outpatient lab/blood draw station are now open at 2128 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive E., Lehighton, Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m.-3 p.m. LVH–Carbon has also added a pulmonary function testing (PFT) laboratory, DEXA scan services, and a new cardiac rehabilitation center as well as relocated Breast Health Services to its Lehighton campus.



Critical care unit


The nearly $12 million project to add a seven-bed critical care unit (CCU) and five additional medical-surgical beds to the hospital’s second floor is now complete. The CCU at LVH–Carbon is now open to care for patients. 



The CCU will provide a higher level of care for patients eliminating the need, in many cases, for them to be transferred to another hospital. A CCU offers care that is not typically available on a more traditional medical-surgical unit.
