Dr. Santellana was born and raised in the Live Oak area. He began his professional pursuits at the University of Texas at San Antonio, obtaining his undergraduate degree. After graduation, Dr. Santellana enrolled at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and received his medical degree. 

Before entering private practice, Dr. Santellana completed a residency at Kingwood Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He thrived in the program, earning the title of chief resident.  

Dr. Santellana opened Greater San Antonio Podiatry to serve the community where he grew up. He has special interests in general foot and ankle care, with an emphasis on diabetic foot care, trauma, and flatfoot reconstruction.
