School Physicians aims to provide access for New Jersey school districts to quality pediatric and internal medicine doctors. Our aim as an organizations is to provide districts with not only access to medical professionals, but we aim to provide our expertise in the development of safe school environments. The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes the important role physicians play in promoting the optimal biopsychosocial well-being of children in the school setting. Although the concept of a school physician has existed for more than a century, uniformity states and districts regarding physicians in schools and the laws governing it are lacking which is why we strive to improve health and safety for children.
