David Leibowitz established Lakelaw in Waukegan on May 1, 1999 after 25 years of distinguished practice in Chicago. People in fast-growing Lake County wanted high quality legal services without having to go downtown. In 2007, Lakelaw opened its Chicago office. In April, 2008, Lakelaw opened a North Suburban office in Skokie, Illinois. Lakelaw now is an interstate firm with locations in Waukegan, Kenosha, Chicago, Milwaukee and Skokie.
