Marc Atzenhoefer, MD

Dr. Marc Atzenhoefer is board certified and fellowship-trained in cardiovascular diseases. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Aztenhoefer earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He went on to complete his fellowship in cardiovascular disease and was a chief fellow at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Dr. Atzenhoefer’s practice is focused on heart failure and cardiomyopathy to include hypertrophic, infiltrative, and non-ischemic types, multimodality cardiac imaging, and artificial intelligence cardiovascular imaging. He specializes in cardiac computed tomography, nuclear cardiac imaging, echocardiography, 3D structural heart modeling, CT plaque characterization, CT-FFR with HeartFlow, and remote pulmonary artery pressure monitoring. Dr. Atzenhoefer utilizes the latest medical and device therapies available.

Dr. Atzenhoefer has published more than 20 research articles and publications. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also board certified in computed tomography by the Certification Board of Computed Tomography, in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography.
