First Command Financial Advisor - Tom Finneran

Thomas Finneran joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January 2022, following a 28-year career in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Lt Col. Thomas understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.

Thomas has a Master’s degree in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University - Air Command and Staff College and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Science and Technology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Sciences from the United States Air Force Academy. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Colorado.

Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Thomas serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Thomas will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.

Active in his community, Thomas is a member of the US Air Force Academy Association of Graduates and Calvary Worship Center Colorado Springs.

In his free time, Thomas enjoys basketball, spending time with family, and traveling.
