Amalia O. Kane, MD, Physician

Amalia Kane, MD is a family medicine provider with clinical interests in women's health (including prenatal care), pediatric and adolescent medicine, integrative medicine, and mental health. She is thrilled to be working at the University of Vermont Medical Center after completing her family medicine residency at the hospital in 2020.

Dr. Kane decided to pursue a career in medicine because she loves working with people, and wanted to gain skills to help ease suffering. She says that the most rewarding part of her job is getting to listen to patients share their current realities and struggles, and partnering with them to support their wellness goals.

Among the specialized procedures Dr. Kane offers are IUDs, Nexplanons, skin procedures, laceration repair and steroid injections (site dependent). Her research interests include health disparities and climate and health.
