Poornima Rao, MD

Dr. Rao treats patients for diabetes, thyroid conditions, and polycystic ovary syndrome. She is experienced in continuous glucose monitoring and Eversense insertion procedures. Among her clinical interests are diabetes, thyroid issues, and women’s health.

Dr. Rao received her medical degree from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia in Moscow, Russia. She completed a residency at St. Francis Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She furthered her training through a fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She speaks English and Russian.
