Sybil Taquet, MD - St. Joseph Health Primary Care Austin's Colony

A family practitioner with a heart for helping patients and families, Dr. Sybil Taquet focuses her practice on caring for the whole patient by supporting a healthy mind, body and spirit. While medicine is important, Dr. Taquet says she is interested in guiding her patients through positive lifestyle changes that can support lifelong health and wellness. Dr. Taquet was attracted to CHI St. Joseph Health for its patient-oriented culture and commitment to compassionate care. These are values that first sparked her interest in the medical field at the age of 15. Initially interested in surgery, Dr. Taquet shifted to family medicine out of a desire to help entire families across the lifespan. Dr. Taquet earned her medical degree from Xavier Bichat Medical School at the University of Paris in Diderot, France and her bachelor's degree from Fennelon College in Paris. She completed her family practice residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas. In her spare time, Dr. Taquet enjoys cycling and yoga and spending time with her husband and four children at their home in College Station.
