Akash Nanda, MD, PhD

Dr. Akash Nanda is director of urologic and hematologic radiation oncology and director of patient safety at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. A board-certified radiation oncologist, Dr. Nanda is skilled in proton therapy, a type of radiation treatment that uses proton beams to target and shrink tumors. Dr. Nanda graduated from the MD/PhD program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, where he also received his doctorate in human genetics and molecular biology. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program and was awarded a resident research grant. He also participated in a prostate brachytherapy fellowship at the Seattle Prostate Institute.
