Kristin Capone, MD

Dr. Kristin Capone is a board certified pediatric gastroenterologist and assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. She graduated medical school from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She then stayed in New York to complete her pediatric residency and chief residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore before moving on to pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Capone practiced pediatric gastroenterology in New Jersey for 5 years prior to moving to Charleston. Although she treats all pediatric gastrointestinal issues, her clinical interest is in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and she works in the MUSC Pediatric IBD clinic.
