Wanda P. Adefris, MD, FACOG

Wanda P. Adefris, MD, FACOG, is a compassionate and dedicated OB/GYN physician, surgeon and a founding partner of Adefris & Toppin Women’s Specialists, M.D.P.C., in Woodbury, Minnesota. She is an expert in a wide range of OB/GYN services and has come to be well-loved by both her patients and colleagues alike.

Dr. Adefris earned her undergraduate degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, before moving on to Temple University in Philadelphia, where she obtained her medical degree. Following medical school, Dr. Adefris completed both her internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Following several years of private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Adefris and her family moved to Minneapolis, where she has been ever since.

Dr. Adefris is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the American Medical Association (AMA). She has served on the Advisory Board of The U of M and The Medical Protective Committee. Throughout her career, Dr. Adefris has earned numerous awards and distinctions for her outstanding care, including being recognized as a Super Doctor in the Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, Castle Connolly Top Doctor 2020, the Best Doctors for Women in Minnesota Monthly, and the 2015-2016 “Who’s Who” Top Doctors Honor Edition. In addition, Dr. Adefris has been recognized by The International Association of Obstetrics & Gynecologists as the Top Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Woodbury, Minnesota. Dr. Adefris has already been recognized for her high level of clinical excellence, being named as Top Doctor by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine for 2021.
