Benjamin P. Rutherford, D.D.S.
Practicing since 2008, Dr. Rutherford has been achieving the highest standards of dental care at East Topeka Dental Associates. Well trained, he attended Washburn University and then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry.
To stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry, Dr. Rutherford maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, Heartland Dental Study Club and the Topeka District Dental Society.
A native of Topeka, Dr. Rutherford feels it is important to give back to his local community. Therefore he volunteers his free time with the Kansas Mission of Mercy.
He and his wife are both graduates of Shawnee Heights High School and both attended Washburn University on athletic scholarships. Dr. Rutherford was on the Washburn baseball team. Together they have three wonderful children.
Carrie B. Peterson, D.D.S.
A graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry, Dr. Peterson has been practicing with Dr. Rutherford at East Topeka Dental Associates since 2009! Highly educated, she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology, before attending dental school.
Dr. Peterson feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry in order to offer the most advanced treatments. Thus, she is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, Heartland Dental Study Club and the Topeka District Dental Society.
In her spare time, she volunteers with the Kansas Mission of Mercy. Dr. Peterson is originally from southwest Kansas. She is happily married and has one son and two daughters.
