I’m Dr. Patricia S. Brawner, Ph.D. I am a Licensed Psychologist and have been in private practice in Athens, GA for more than 25 years. I have Masters and PhD degrees in Counseling Psychology, an Advanced Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, and am in the process of completing the highest level of certification in the renowned Gottman Method approach to marriage counseling and couples therapy. I also see patients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, bipolar disorder, anger management, behavioral problems, emotional disturbance, infidelity, and domestic abuse. I offer testing and evaluation services including bariatric evaluations, ADHD evaluations, and pain evaluations. I also offer hypnosis for a variety of conditions including phobias, weight loss, and smoking cessation.

While I specialize in marriage counseling and couples therapy, including pre marital counseling, I see adults of all ages and in all stages of life, including people going through life transitions and college-age young adults. Here is a more complete explanation of the services that I offer.
