Keith W. Roach, M.D.

Dr. Keith Roach has been a practicing internist for over 20 years. Dr. Roach graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in molecular biology, then took his MD at the University of Chicago. He did his internship and medicine residency training there as well, and stayed on as faculty, winning several teaching awards and honors. Dr. Roach moved to New York in 2000, joining the faculty at Weill-Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital as an Associate Professor in Clinical Medicine in the division of general medicine, and has won every major teaching award offered by that institution. He also served as program director for the primary care internal medicine training program until 2009. He has over 20 peer-reviewed publications. His special area of research interest is prevention of disease and rational use of screening technology. He continues to teach and see patients there with the medical housestaff.Dr. Roach is one of the co-creators, along with Dr. Michael Roizen, of the RealAge Test, a unique and patented web-based interactive tool that empowers people to learn which lifestyle choices, medical issues, and genetic characteristics are making them healthy and unhealthy, along with recommendations about how to improve health and life expectancy. Dr. Roach also acts as Chief Medical Officer for Enforcer eCoaching, a company dedicated to giving individuals specific daily coaching on improving diet, exercise, weight loss, and quitting smoking. Dr. Roach is the author of “To Your Good Health," a medical advice column syndicated in over 150 newspapers.Dr. Roach lives in Larchmont, NY with his wife, a physician specializing in infectious disease, and their three children. Dr. Roach is a dedicated triathlete, and has finished over 20 Olympic distance triathlons, and has won none of them. He enjoys reading classics, science fiction, and history with equal avidity.
