Julie L. Marcus, M.D.

Dr. Friedman was born and raised in Merrick, New York.  After graduating summa cum laude in Biology at Duke University, she attended New York University School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.  She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern McGaw Medical Center in Chicago, IL where she served as Chief Medicine Resident.  After residency, she completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at New York University Langone Health where she served as Chief Cardiology Fellow during her final year of training.She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the American Society of Echocardiography.  She has published in the American Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography as well as co-authored chapters in cardiology and echocardiography textbooks.
