Dr. Cappel earned his Doctor of Medicine and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha at the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He then went on to his Dermatology Residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida and completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
A staff member in the Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic for nine years, Dr. Cappel also served as the dermatology residency program director at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He’s given numerous presentations at dermatology and dermatopathology conferences worldwide and has authored 45 peer-reviewed medical journal publications.
