Robby Yoder, CEO and Owner of Starwood Tree Service, grew up on an Amish farm in central Ohio. His dad also started a tree service back when he was a young boy where he learned to work hard which helped him into his adult life. Robby worked in construction for nearly 10 years, then got married and moved to Trumbull County. Robby and his wife Bethany, started their business doing construction for a few years until they finally decided to go back to Robby's passion of tree work. They added tree work in 2014 and by 2016 they sold their construction equipment and went full-time into tree service.

It was July 28th 2017, a Friday morning, Robby was 50 ft up in a Maple tree cutting it down, and it broke at the bottom. He fell down with it and got a nasty concussion, and woke up in the hospital. This experience changed his perspective on life and the way they do tree work. He started studying trees, their health, structure, species, etc. and become an ISA Certified Arborist. In studying he found out that tree work is the NUMBER ONE MOST DANGEROUS PROFESSION in the country! Starwood does things completely different and safer than they used to. Robby does a tree risk assessment before even quoting his customers.
