Shanah Zucker

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Foresight. I received my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Denver University. I have experience working with survivors of trauma, people struggling with chronic and severe mental illness, and people who are getting back to work after years of unemployment due to mental health difficulties. I have a passion for working with survivors of trauma to rebuild self-esteem, self-confidence, reestablishing ownership of the self, and fight self stigma. My specialty areas include anxiety, depression, coping skills, de-escalation from panic attacks, and self-esteem issues. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective: focusing on genuineness, empathy, and helping clients connect their thoughts, feelings, and actions using cognitive behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy. I enjoy working with people individually and in therapy groups.
