Dawn Johns, FNP-BC

Dawn Johns, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She received her associate degree in nursing from Jewish College of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Barnes Jewish Goldfarb School of Nursing and her Master of Science in nursing from Maryville University.

Before joining the SSM Health Medical Group, Dawn practiced as a family nurse practitioner at SSM Health Express Clinic at Walgreens in O’Fallon, where she diagnosed acute and chronic conditions. She also performed sports physicals and administered immunizations. She provides care to patients of all ages.

Her special interests include women’s health, educating young women about birth control options and sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs), as well as hypertension education and changing lifestyle strategies for preventative health and wellness.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her four children. She enjoys the beach and whale watching.
