Julio Ivan Alexander Hernandez Rodriguez, MD, is a family medicine doctor. Dr. Hernandez takes pride in being a good listener and believes in the power of empathy. Rather than dictating care, he prefers coming up with joint solutions with his patients. His biggest clinical interest is in LGBTQ+ health and equitable access to health care. In his spare time, Dr. Hernandez enjoys traveling. Prior to joining the Optum family, he visited 11 countries in three years. He loves to be in nature and to go on hikes. He has summited Mt. Kilimanjaro. Dr. Hernandez speaks fluent English and Spanish.
