Gwendolyn Lavonne Riddick, DO

My decision to become a doctor was driven largely by values instilled in me by my faith and my family. The idea of being a part of a profession focused on helping others, regardless of circumstance, focused on facilitating people leading healthier, and therefore, happier lives. I can't imagine a more fulfilling job. I value creating a relationship with patients that embraces compassion, dialogue and education. I strive to be receptive to patient’s needs and desires within the setting of evidence-based medicine. My goal is to provide quality care for women in a manner that allows my patients to be empowered with knowledge. My practice includes both obstetrics and gynecology, with a special interest in comprehensive prenatal care, adolescent gynecology, contraceptive counseling and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. I enjoy taking care of patients from adolescence to the mature woman. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy traveling and maintaining an active lifestyle. I truly believe that good nutrition and physical exercise are an important part of every woman’s day.
