Hemashi K. Perera, MD

Dr. Perera is an obstetrician/gynecologist providing prenatal care and a wide range of gynecological services. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania and the Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Perera received her training in OB/GYN at the Columbia University Medical Center. Her positive experiences during training led her to join the faculty at Columbia. Dr. Perera was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology as she enjoys providing thorough primary and preventative care to women of all ages and patient centered prenatal and obstetric care. She has a special interest in resident and medical student education and received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation’s Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. She is proficient in Spanish.
