Hye-Chun Hur, MD, MPH

Hye-Chun Hur, MD is a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Prior to joining the faculty at Columbia, she worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for 12 years as Director of the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Division. Dr. Hur is fellowship-trained and specializes in benign gynecologic surgery through minimally invasive techniques, including advanced laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and hystereoscopy. She has expertise in the treatment of women with ovarian cysts, uterine septums, pelvic pain, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and abnormal uterine bleeding. She is an advocate of minimally invasive surgery for the care of her patients, as this approach leads to faster recovery, less pain, less risk of infection and bleeding, shorter length of hospital stay, improved cosmesis, and greater patient satisfaction.
