Maria P. Rosato-Nierenberg, CNM, RN

Maria Rosato, CNM began her professional career as a labor and delivery nurse at Albert Einstein Hospital in the Bronx, after graduating with a BSN from Lehman College in N.Y. It was there, that she was introduced to the compassionate care of midwives, and realized, that this was her calling. After her three children had started school, she pursued her midwifery education at SUNY Downstate, in Brooklyn N.Y, where she graduated with honors. Maria then dedicated the next nineteen years to providing obstetrical and gynecologic care to a diverse, underserved population in the Bronx, empowering women and providing positive birth experiences. After the birth of her fourth child, attended by Joanne Mazzio, Maria entertained the possibility of practicing in Westchester County, with her long time friend and colleague. She is now honored to be part of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley. Maria brings with her, years of experience, and is excited to offer the women of Westchester County personalized, and full scope midwife care.
