Steven J. Svabek, DO, PA, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon seeing patients 20 and older at his small general orthopaedic and spine surgery practice in Coral Springs, Florida.
He takes a comprehensive approach while specializing in ailments affecting the bones and joints, sports injuries, and degenerative diseases. He regularly does joint repair and joint replacement surgery to relieve his patients’ pain and restore their mobility.
Dr. Svabek earned his medical degree in 1991 at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he completed an internship in 1992 at the now-closed Graduate Hospital.
He went to New York City, where he completed his orthopedic residency in 1997 at St. Vincent Hospital/Cabrini Medical Center (now St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center) and North Shore University Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Svabek also completed a year of general surgical training, finishing his final training phase with a spine fellowship in 1998 at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
