Through her thriving self-named OB/GYN practice, Kimberly King, M.D. LLC, in Smyrna, Tennessee, Dr. King enhances the lives of women of all ages, empowering them to take control of their own health and wellness. 

Education has played a central role in Dr. King’s life. She was raised in Georgia and earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. She stayed in the area to refine her skills and knowledge through a residency at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, also in Macon, Georgia.

Now in practice for more than 20 years, Dr. King has amassed an impressive body of experience across the full scope of women’s health issues. She continues to seek out opportunities to stay current on advancements in medical technology and research.

Obstetrics is an incredibly rewarding part of Dr. King’s practice. She’s assisted mothers in welcoming more than 7,000 babies into the world and finds each experience to be fulfilling.  

Well versed in all aspects of gynecology, Dr. King is passionate about assisting women in improving their daily quality of life. Whether it’s finding the best possible birth control method, working to reach an accurate diagnosis, guiding hormone replacement therapy, or serving as a women’s wellness advocate, Dr. King is dedicated to helping women live life to the fullest.

Dr. King takes the time to get to know the women in her care. Learning how her care has made a difference in their daily lives is what keeps her excited to come to work each day.

When not working with patients, Dr. King loves spending time with her two sons and their dog Peanut. She also enjoys cooking, exploring area farmer’s markets, and spending time outdoors golfing or hiking.
