Dr. Krisnan earned his medical degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in Manipal, India, graduating in 1998 with honors. He moved to New York City for his anesthesiology residency at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn and stayed on as chief resident in anesthesiology.
In 2004, Dr. Krisnan completed his fellowship in pain medicine and regional anesthesia at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) in Iowa City, Iowa.
At Island Interventional Pain Management, Dr. Krisnan treats patients with back and neck problems, including sciatica and spinal stenosis. He also specializes in managing challenging pain conditions like complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). Treatments include innovative biologics such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections.

He’s a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society (BGS) and a diplomate of the American Boards of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Krisnan enjoys traveling and playing chess during his free time and is a dedicated movie buff.
