Cara Jacobs

Cara Jacobs, PA-C is a member of Summit Health's Internal Medicine team. Ms. Jacobs provides primary care to adults, including physical exams and sick visits. She has a special interest in preventive medicine and management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

Ms. Jacobs works to involve her patients in their care, equipping them with the information they need to understand and engage in decisions about their treatment plans. Most importantly, she strives to create a comfortable environment for open dialogue.

Ms. Jacobs began her career in research yet missed the personal side of what research made possible. “Health care was the perfect opportunity to mesh my love for science with my passion for helping others,” she says.

In her free time, Ms. Jacobs enjoys spending time with her children, cooking with her husband, playing with their dog, and reading.
