Dr. Seagren was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and completed her undergraduate education at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. There, she was rewarded for her academic achievement and made the president’s list. She continued her education by earning a medical degree from AT Still University of Health Sciences - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri.
Following graduation with her medical degree, Dr. Seagren completed her general surgery residency training at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. She then went to the University of California San Francisco for her fellowship, where she received the prestigious surgical device innovation award.
