I have worked in biomedicine for 25 years. I started as a laboratory scientist then moved from the experimental to the practical when I transitioned to Registered Nurse on a stroke unit. My primary interest has always been the brain. After seeing the effects of brain chemistry and structure (and disruptions of both) on mood and mental health, I became a PMHNP.
