Mark Shasti, MD, is a board-certified spine surgeon providing exceptional services for patients with neck and back disorders at INOVA Medical Group in Ashburn, Virginia, Dr. Shasti earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, where he received the prestigious William H. Falor and Iota Epsilon Alpha awards after graduating in the top 5% of his class.
Dr. Shasti completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center’s R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by an orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Shasti has undergone specialized training in minimally invasive spine surgery and is certified in advanced techniques such as robotic-assisted surgery and motion-preserving artificial disc replacement. Patients at INOVA Medical Group benefit from his knowledge and experience in finding solutions for causes of back and neck pain ranging from sciatica and herniated discs to spinal stenosis and scoliosis.
